Teenager's Poems
1996 to 2003

As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

A New Way To See by Beth

What if,
For a moment,
everyone closed their eyes,
And started seeing in a different way?
There would be no color,
No black or white,
There'd be no day,
there'd be no night,
No one would be judged by the way they looked outside,
The only thing that would matter,
would be the person inside,
The world would be a better place,
No pretty or ugly,
there would be no race,
There'd be no skinny,
no short,
no tall,
There'd be no boundaries,
there'd be no walls,
We'de be seeing from our hearts,
there would be no lies,
that's the way God sees us,
maybe all we need to do is close our eyes
