Teenager's Poems
1996 to 2003

As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

MY PRAYERS FOR YOU by Terri

I wrote this for my God-Brother, Doug K.

This world seems to spin so fast these days, it's hard just to survive
We all need a Light we can reach out to. Something to make us feel alive
The dark tries to steal so much from us - it's keeping too many down
We all need hands to hold on to, to steady us on more solid ground
You have proven to be the interceder that God so needs you to be!
You may not understand this, but you've helped to keep me free!
I pray so very much for you! I pray, "God, let that Light shine on",
"This world needs to see the light that he shares. It can encourage so many to hold on!"
I pray that you're blesssed with love and faith, your good deeds returned ten-fold
I pray each of your needs are met and that you'll always find sunsets more precious than gold
I pray you can always see things as they are. May lies deceive you not
May the good times stay close in your heart while all the bad is quickly forgot
I pray to always see life dance in your eyes, to hear your laughter in my heart
And, as we go our separate ways, remember - of my heart and soul
I'll always consider you a part!
