Teenager's Poems
1996 to 2003

As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

The Unknown by S.D.L

Velvet dreams of us together
Reaching for a dying star
Obssessed with the illusion,
of being together one day.
Trapped inside,
A symphony of broken notes.
I sit here thinking of you.
Putting myself through
an emotional state of depression
and suffering.
Sensitive to the question
of us being one.
Do I give up this fight?
it's all quite baffling'
but yet, so beautiful.
I reach out to touch you.
Then I release myself from
This once romantic utopia.
It all hit me so hard
I do believe reality is her name.
Finally the conclusion comes--
S.I.L.E.N.C.E.
