Teenager's Poems
1996 to 2003

As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

Looking For You by Andrew

As sullen as I wandered, a glance to sea I took,
Whence upon your face I spied and could do ne'er but look.
Those diamond eyes did glisten like the sun upon the waves,
All at once recounting those old and precious days.
I lost myself in thoughts as all at once I spied,
The horses gallop through the dunes as golden eagles cried.
The dolphins swam, the mermaids too, a beauty so unknown,
But then I snapped, my thoughts came back, a sad and dulcit tone.
The dolphins were not really there, the horses just a thought,
But in this place where dreams are real my heart was truly caught.
Captured by your beauty, imprisoned by your eyes,
And in the realm of dreams I stayed when you said your goodbyes.
